Bridgeport Police Need Your Help

On October 14, 2023, at approximately 11:30 pm the Islamic Community Center located at 468 Clinton Ave. was burglarized.  The suspect stole several computer tablets and a digital camera.  The Bridgeport Police Department is asking for public assistance in identifying a suspect captured on video surveillance at this location on that date and time. The suspect is described as a Black male, thin, with a goatee-type beard and mustache. The suspect is wearing black pants and a black and red sweatshirt with distinct writing on the front and back. Milford News: Violating Protective Order and Causing Harm

On October 30, 2023, Officer Beirne arrested Philip Micalizzi, aged 68, on Village Road for breaking the law. Micalizzi was charged with violating a protective order, behaving badly, and stopping someone from calling for help. He had to pay $2,500 to be released before going to court on November 1, 2023. The police came to a house on Village Road on November 1, 2023, after someone called 911. They said that Micalizzi had an argument with them. Micalizzi forcibly took the person's purse and stopped them from calling the police. He then pushed the person, causing them to fall and get hurt. For some reason, a man was on the tracks, the conductor saw the man on the tracks who braked to stop and sounded the horn. The man ran back and ducked under the platform which prevented the train from hitting him. There were no injuries. Deceased Individual Located in the Long Island Sound

On October 29th at approximately 3:25PM Norwalk Police were notified of a deceased male floating in the Long Island Sound. Norwalk Police Marine Unit located and recovered the deceased individual. The Detective Bureau and The Office of the State Medical Examiner are currently investigating and trying to determine the identity.
