EXTINCTION PREVENTION ACT TO PROTECT AT-RISK WILDLIFE

Blumenthal announced the legislation today at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo on the 50th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act [WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and U.S. Representative Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ) reintroduced the Extinction Prevention Act, legislation to provide much-needed funding for some of the country’s most imperiled yet vastly underfunded wildlife species, including threatened and endangered North American butterflies, various Pacific Island plants, freshwater mussels, and Southwest desert fish. Shelton News: Cat Burglary

Cat Taken during Burglary Located On 1-22-23, Shelton Police took a report of a burglary from a hotel room. There wereno apparent signs of forced entry to the room. Several items were reported missingincluding the victim’s hairless cat Princess. Detectives conducted a thorough investigation which resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Zyair Lopez and 24-year-old Toni Douglas-Alves in February. They were chargedwith Burglary 3 rd Degree, Larceny 3 rd Degree, Conspiracy to commit Burglary 3 rd Degree, and Conspiracy to commit Larceny 3 rd Degree.
