Bridgeport News: Possible Kidnapping

Police UPDATE: Last night at approximately 2045hrs a Bridgeport Police Officer was flagged down in the area of Park Ave and John St. The party indicated seeing a street fight at the corners of Fairfield Ave and Park Ave. A call was received into the Bridgeport ECC regarding a party that witnessed a female being pulled into a vehicle. Bridgeport Police were dispatched to the area and based upon preliminary reports it appears that the incident was a street fight amongst known parties with parties fleeing the area. Bridgeport PD cannot corroborate a kidnapping and there have been no notifications of any missing persons or an abduction. BPD has been in contact with several parties involved in the incident. Bridgeport News: Tombstones Found At Splash Pad

VIDEO REPORT-- 2022-08-04 #Bridgeport CT-- A number of viewers have reached out to me to let me know about tombstones discarded just a couple of feet from the splash pad outside Luis Marin School on the Boston Avenue side. Lakeview Cemetery is across the street but it is not known if the two are connected. It is not known how long they have been there but they are behind a fenced-in area of a small building being demolished.One stone is of PFC Morris J. Cohen who served in the US Army during WWII. The other stone is a mother, Gertrude Jones who passed in 1981. Cohen's year of death is hard to make out, looks like 1983.Frank Recchia of News12…

MISSING PERSONS SILVER ALERT – EMILY BENITEZ + OLIVER ORTIZ

On July 27, 2022 15-year-old Emily Benitez and her 5-month-old infant son Oliver Ortiz were reported missing by the family’s CT Department of Children and Families (DCF) case worker. To fit the criteria for an amber alert there needs to be an imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.  On August 3, 2022, a silver alert was implemented by the CT Department of Public Safety.  Emily is described as approximately 5’ tall/110 lbs. having brown hair/eyes. The child, Oliver, is only five-months-old and has brown hair/eyes. The Bridgeport Police Department is working with our law enforcement partners to bring this incident to a safe and speedy conclusion.  We are asking for the public’s help in locating Emily and Oliver. …
