JOINT INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST

A joint investigation by the Bridgeport Police and the Stamford Police culminated on Wednesday with the arrest of a 30-year-old parolee on gun and drug charges. Joseph Humphrey of Stamford was taken into custody after Task Force Officers executed a search warrant at Humphrey's apartment in Stamford. The Emergency Services Units from Bridgeport and Stamford assisted in the raid. Police seized an illegal gun, ammunition and drugs packaged for sale from the apartment. The post referenced an Ansonia public school. Members of the Ansonia Police Department immediately initiated an investigation. Through investigative efforts, officers identified the individual responsible for the post as a 12-year-old juvenile who had previously attended an Ansonia public school. AMAZON DRIVER INJURED WITH A WEAPON IN POSSIBLE ROBBERY IN THE SOUTH END ON TUESDAY MORNING The Bridgeport Police Department's Detective Bureau is investigating the injury of an Amazon delivery driver with a weapon Tuesday morning in what was likely an attempted robbery. Shortly before noon Tuesday, the injured driver pulled up to a Metropolitan Transit Authority police officer working at Railroad Avenue and Myrtle Avenue and reported he was just slashed in the face with a weapon on Park Terrace in the city's South End. Norwalk Man Arrested in Street Robbery Investigation

The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau has arrested a Norwalk man in connection with a robbery reported on May 19, 2026, near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Larsen Street. According to police, patrol officers responded to the area at approximately 8:57 p.m. after a victim reported that an individual grabbed him and removed a wallet from his pants pocket. The Bridgeport Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found stabbed at a Park Avenue rooming house shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Officers were dispatched to the 350 block of Park Avenue around 12:05 am for an altercation involving numerous persons. The victim, 41-year-old Willesha Riddick of Bridgeport, was bleeding and unresponsive at the front door of the house. She was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent's Hospital and pronounced deceased. It was determined Ms. Reddick was stabbed multiple times. A second female suffered a minor stab wound at the house. The store was open at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
