On Monday, November 3, 2025, at approximately 7:34am, the Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a text to 9-1-1 message conveying an apparent threat to Coleytown Elementary School, located at 65 Easton Road. Late Night Westport House Fire

Westport firefighters were dispatched just before 11:00 PM to a reported residential structure fire on Weathervane Hill, with multiple engines, a truck company, and the shift commander responding. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke from the rear of the home and declared a working fire, but confirmed all occupants had safely exited before firefighters entered to begin an aggressive interior attack. Firefighters stretched hose lines to both the front and rear of the house to stop flames from spreading to the second floor, while additional crews established a water supply and assisted with suppression. Funny Money In Westport

At approximately 3:28 p.m. on November 23, 2013, an employee from Olympia Sports, 403 Post Road East, reported that a male was attempting to pay for merchandise with what the employee believed to be a counterfeit $100.00 bill. The employee would not accept the bill after noticing it was counterfeit. The suspect left the bill behind and fled the scene. The employee provided a description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle to police. Officer Thomas Casimiro located the vehicle on Compo Road North shortly after the crime occurred. The vehicle was stopped and the three occupants were detained.
