7/3UPDATE: I am really sorry to report the child passed away.

7/1 UPDATE: Police say the 2-year-old girl remains in very critical condition at Yale New Haven hospital.
They say her mother held a get together at her home yesterday, called for everybody who was by the pool to come inside, she turned around for just a few seconds and the baby had fallen into the pool. Mom pulled baby out of the water, first responders did CPR and got a pulse, child began breathing on her own. Went to St. V’s, then flown to Yale. In very critical condition now due to issue with her lungs.

 

2:24pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters responded to a possible drowning according to initial scanner reports on May Street (off Chopsey Hill).  Chief AJ Perez said a young man was on scene when firefighters arrived and was performing CPR on the two year old girl.  She was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital and then later to Yale New Haven Hospital where she was reported to have a good heart rate.
