8/25 Crash

2:10am--#Bridgeport CT--#cttraffic-- A serious two-car crash on Route 8/25 northbound at exit 2.  Firefighters just completed extricating the victims in the car.  It sounds like a two-car crash. The on the ramp at 27 is closed.  You can see in the photo the guardrail is twisted on the right side of the photo.  Expect major delays, take a different route if possible.

Fairfield News: Star Fuels Robbed…Again

Police UPDATE: On 06/23/2018 at approximately 9:39pm a robbery occurred at Star Fuels 350 Jennings Rd. Fairfield, CT. The store clerk called 911 to report he had just been robbed by two black males, one of which may have had a gun underneath his shirt, and the second male punched the clerk in the face just before taking cash from the register. The store clerk was not seriously injured. According to the clerk, the males were last seen running on Jennings Rd. A K-9 track led officers directly to a male that matched the description of one of the suspects emerging from a residential backyard at the intersection of Old Stratfield Road and Black Rock Turnpike. Mayor Ganim joined the U.S. Conference of Mayors and mayors from across the country to visit the Tornillo Migrant Children’s Facility where immigrant children are currently being detained in cages.  This protest mission follows The U.S. Conference of Mayors’ 86th Annual Meeting in Boston where mayors on the Criminal and Social Justice Committee unanimously adopted a resolution on this issue.   Mayor Ganim is a member of the Criminal and Social Justice Committee that passed the resolution to “Reverse the Department of Homeland Security’s Family Separation Policies.” “This is a cruel and inhumane way to treat families and children. Stratford News: Attempted Robbery

#Stratford CT--Brant Hufcut age 18 of Milford was arrested following an attempted robbery on Prayer Spring Road. The robbery occurred when Hufcut and an unknown accomplice were at the victim’s residence. At that time Hufcut displayed a handgun and attempted to rob the victim who Hufcut claims owe him money. A scuffle ensued and Hufcut struck the victim several times in the head with the pistol. Westport News: Cops Cuff Copper Caper

#Westport CT--On 05/16/18, officers responded to a report of a residential burglary to a home under construction. During the overnight hours, various tools and copper flashing were stolen. Surveillance video at the home captured the suspect making several trips into the construction site and occupied a portion of the home. Detectives were able to identify the suspect in the video as Richard Jamain of Bridgeport, CT. Jamain was also found to have sold copper scrap metal later that morning. An arrest warrant application was submitted for Jamain and approved. On 06/18/18, Jaiman was observed driving in Bridgeport by Westport detectives. With the assistance of Bridgeport police, he was stopped and taken into custody. Jamain was transported to Westport PD headquarters…

Westport News: Man Arrested For Stealing From YMCA Lockers

On 01/29/18, the Westport Police Department received an online report of a larceny from the Westport Weston YMCA. The victim reported that while placing his personal belongings into one of the gym lockers, he observed a suspicious male in the locker room who appeared to be watching him and attempting to see the lock combination. When the victim later returned to the locker, he found the contents disturbed and $80 had been stolen from his wallet. Two similar incidents were reported on 01/30/18 and 01/31/18. On 01/30/18, a victim’s locker was entered and rifled through, but nothing was taken. The victim reported a man being in the locker room that could have seen his locker code.
