12:40pm--#Westport CT--#cttraffic--A crash on I-95 southbound between exits 19 and 18 just north of exit 18.  So far no traffic delays but the trucks with the shiny lights haven't shown up to give people something to look at and slow down!  Vehicles in the left and right breakdown lanes.   I-95 Accidente 12:40pm – #Westport CT – #cttraffic – Un accidente en la I-95 en dirección sur entre las salidas 19 y 18. #Westport, CT - Effective immediately, the Westport Yard Waste site, located at 180 Bayberry Lane, will operate with reduced hours as follows: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. This schedule will be in effect until March 4, 2019, when regular hours will resume. Bridgeport News: Police Nab ATM Thieves After Pursuit

10PMish--#Bridgeport CT-- Police nab ATM thieves who were using a cutting torch to cut into an ATM at Bank of America at 2091 Boston Avenue.  Police responded when the alarm at the ATM activated to the alarm company who notified police.  The suspects fled down Boston Avenue, through city streets with police right behind them.  They got on I-95 exiting in Fairfield where they ran through town and then back onto  I-95 northbound where state police entered the pursuit.  Spike strips were set up at exit 34.  I don't know if the hit the strips but they did get off exit 34, back onto I-95 southbound where the pursuit came to an end near exit 29.   One suspect was quickly taken…

Fairfield News: Homicide in Fairfield

#Fairfield CT--On 02/03/2019 at 09:23 PM the Fairfield Police Department received a 911 call from 54 Catamount Rd. which was believed to be a domestic disturbance. Initial officers arrived on scene and found a serious domestic assault took place inside the home and quickly took the suspect into custody. During the initial investigation officers located a female victim deceased on the scene. Detectives are currently interviewing the suspect, in addition to other witnesses that were involved. At this time, there is no threat to public safety. All parties involved are in the custody of the Fairfield Police Department. This case is currently under investigation by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau. State Police Major Crime Unit is processing the scene. Noticias…

HARTFORD – State Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport)  joined a unanimous and bipartisan vote to reappoint four ethnically and politically diverse judges to another eight-year term on the Connecticut Superior Court. Sen. Moore voted today to reappoint: Democrat Mohammad Nawaz Wahla of Glastonbury, who retired as a major after 20 years in the Pakistan Army. He received law degrees from the University of Punjab in 1974, the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 and the University of Houston in 1998, and formed his own law firm, Wahla & Associates, in 1999. Bridgeport News: Woman Grazed In Shots Fired Incident
