Norwalk News: Shooting with One Wounded

On September 10th at 9:20PM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received multiple calls regarding several gunshots in the area of Strawberry Hill Ave and Catalpa Street. Officers responded to the area and located a crime scene. At the same time, it was learned that one victim had arrived at Norwalk Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and is in serious condition. Detectives assumed the investigation and were able to determine that this was an isolated incident and there was no ongoing threat to the community. Detectives will be active in the area throughout the day continuing the investigation. Norwalk News: Oyster Festival Ends In Stabbing

On September 6, 2024, at Norwalk Police Officers observed a disturbance on the grounds of the Oyster Festival in the area of Fort Point Street and Seaview Avenue.  Shortly thereafter, it was discovered that two juveniles had sustained stab wounds. Officers immediately summoned emergency medical services, who rendered aid to the two juveniles and transported them to the Norwalk Hospital.  A male juvenile was arrested at the scene. The male was charged with one count of assault in the first degree and one count of assault in the second degree.  The suspect was ordered held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Bridgeport while awaiting arraignment. Police are on the lookout for a black Dodge Charger for discharging a firearm in the area of Andover Street in Bridgeport. The Charger was last seen on I-95 getting off of exit 29. This is all according to unconfirmed state police radio reports, and there is no further information at this time.

ASSAULT DANGEROUS WEAPON 200 BLOCK OF GRANT ST. At 11:33 am Bridgeport ECC received a call of an assault with a dangerous weapon in the 200 block of Grant Street. The male victim was stabbed in the upper area and is in critical condition. There is no more information at this time. ASSAULT DANGEROUS WEAPON/ ROBBERY BROOKS / SPRING At 2:26pm Bridgeport ECC received a call from Bridgeport Hospital Security reporting a male victim arrived at the Emergency Department with a laceration to the arm.The victim states that this incident occurred at a robbery at Brooks and Spring last night. Major Drug Bust at Stratford Smoke Shop: Four Arrested

It has been confirmed that Cream Smoke Shop does not have a state license to sell or distribute cannabis or THC products. The investigation began after receiving reports that underage individuals were buying cannabis and THC products from the shop. As part of the investigation, undercover officers conducted four controlled purchases of these substances, leading to the execution of a search warrant on September 5, 2024. During the search, authorities seized about 60 pounds of illegal cannabis and THC products, along with approximately $7,000 in cash.
