2:00am--#Bridgeport CT-- Right at closing time police received a call for shots fired outside of Tiago's Bar and Grill at 211 State Street. The shots were fired from McLevy's Green right across the street. EMS was called for a security person at Tiago's who was trampled. A short time later a person arrived at the hospital shot in the back. A large area of State Street was taped off as a crime scene.

2:30pm--6/27/2018 #Bridgeport CT-- After an investigation initiated by neighborhood complaints the Connecticut State Police with the Bridgeport Gang Task Force and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant at 281 Thorme Street. Michael Barkley of 281 Thorme Street was taken into custody without incident. 281 Thorme Street is less than a block away from Blackham Elementary School. During the execution of the search warrant officers located 2 handguns (Glock 17-9mm and a Glock 31- .357 caliber), 507 grams of marijuana, 6.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 15 Oxycodone pills, $4665 in cash, scales, packaging materials, 130 rounds of mixed ammunition and hundreds of cartridge casing and bullets used to manufacture .45 caliber rounds. #Bridgeport CTt-- Police said David Rivera DOB 12-10-03, (14 years old )shot twice the in torso and once in the face. Rivera was shot on Columbia St near the intersection of Park Terrace. Rivera fled to 55/65 Park Ter. PO Pires found the victim on the porch at this location injured. Pires also located a firearm that belonged to Rivera. The firearm was secured and medics rendered assistance. Rivera was transport to Bridgport ER where he underwent surgery. The crime scene was secured and the detective bureau responded. This is a well-attended event that features heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic affecting all roads south of Greens Farms Road between South Compo Road and Hillspoint Road. #Fairfield CT--State Representative Brenda Kupchick (R-132) united with Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara at a news conference on Wednesday afternoon to remind residents about Fairfield’s ongoing “Heat Kills: If you Love ‘em Don’t Leave ‘em” initiative. First started in 2015, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of leaving children & pets in hot cars. Rep.
