2021-02-24@10:45am-- #Fairfield CT-- #cttraffic-- A suspect wanted in a shots fired incident in Bridgeport’s east side was apprehend along with the firearm recovery after a pursuit and crash on Tunxis Hill Cutoff and Villa Avenue. The car was being pursued by Bridgeport Police on North Avenue when the suspect turned onto Tunxis Hill Cutoff and crashed into a pickup truck at the intersection (Stop and Shop Gas, Stop and Shop, Andres Diner are at this intersection). The suspect was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Bridgeport Police said in a statement “Today, at 1045 hours, a Shotspotter activation occurred on Helen Street. 2021-02-21@11:06pm-- Sunday night, multiple officers on patrol along with EMS responded to 300 Congress Street for a prisoner who had cuts to his hands and feet. Police said the same prisoner refused to be handcuffed complaining of wrist pain, again he refused treatment. The person was eventually transferred to Golden Hil Court. #Bridgeport CT--On February 21, 2021 at approximately 1:15 pm Bridgeport Police Detectives responded to a party shot at 324 Lyon Terrace Bridgeport, CT. During their investigation, Detectives were able to determine there was a crime scene at this address and the victim had lied about the location he was shot to avoid being arrested. Detectives determined the victim accidentally shot himself in the left arm. He was treated for this non life threatening injury at St. Vincents Hospital and discharged later in the day. Detectives located the illegal firearm used in the shooting and subsequently established probable cause to arrest the Victim/Suspect. UPDATE: I'm sorry to report the person died from his injuries. 2021-02-21@1:19am--#Bridgeport CT-- #cttraffic-- I-95 southbound a car hit the barrier and reportedly went off the highway at exit 27 but it appears the car is on either the on or off ramp. One person is trapped and firefighter are in the process of extrication.
FAIRFIELD, CT, Thursday, February 11, 2021: At 4:33 A.M. the Emergency Communications Center received a report by a resident of a fire on the second floor at a three-family residence at 556 Black Rock Turnpike. The Fairfield Fire Department responded and arrived on scene within four minutes of notification. At the time of arrival, the exact location of the fire was unknown. During an interior search, firefighters located two small fires in separate locations, while residents awoken by the smoke detector’s alarm attempted to make contact with others still asleep in the multi-family residence. Bridgeport News: Swatting Incident at UB2021-4:35pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A caller said he had 10 pipe bombs, firearms and 10 Japanese hostages at the College Park Townhomes at 291 Broad. The surrounding area was blocked off by police. By 5:00pm it was determined to be a prank/swatting call. Swatting is the action or practice of making a prank call to emergency services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.
