#Bridgeport CT--On Friday, September 15, 2023, at 21:32 hours, the Bridgeport ECC (Emergency Communications Center) received a report of shots fired inside a rooming house located on Myrtle Avenue. The caller provided information that implicated a known tenant as the individual responsible for the gunfire. In response to this report, Bridgeport Police were dispatched to the scene. As officers were en route to the location, they received additional information that the individual responsible for the shots fired was under supervision for criminal possession of a firearm, currently on three years of probation, and registered as a deadly weapons offender. At 04:28 this morning, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire with visible flames in the 1000th block of Fairfield Avenue. In response to these calls, the Bridgeport Fire Department, along with the Police and AMR, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the on-scene Fire Command reported a working fire situation, which was subsequently upgraded to a 2nd alarm. The fire was contained within a first-floor apartment. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident. One of the occupants affected by the fire is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. After asking for more information ALL the media received a press release. On September 12th, 2023, at 17:37 hours, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a ShotSpotter Activation alert in the vicinity of Park Street and Shelton Street. In response to this alert, the Bridgeport Police Department dispatched officers to the specified area. Upon arrival at the scene, officers reported the discovery of multiple shell casings at the intersection and proceeded to secure the area as a crime scene. Approximately seven minutes after the ShotSpotter activations, Bridgeport Hospital reported a gunshot wound (GSW) victim who had arrived…
#Bridgeport CT-- On September 9, 2023, at approximately 1:30 pm Bridgeport Police responded to report(s) of a party shot in the face in the 300 block of Pacific Street. After arriving at the scene, Officers located a 16-year-old male inside the residence suffering from a single critical gunshot wound to his head. The 16-year-old victim was quickly transported to an area hospital where he was admitted into the intensive care unit. Due to the injuries reported on September 9, 2023, the Detective Bureau’s Homicide Squad took charge of the investigation. They were assisted by Detectives from the Forensic Identification Unit. 2023-09-10@03:32am--#Bridgeport CT--The Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received two ShotSpotter activations for Highland Avenue, followed by multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots and potential blood trails. Bridgeport Police and AMR (American Medical Response) were dispatched to the scene. Preliminary reports from the scene indicate that there is a gunshot wound (GSW) victim in the 100th block of Center Street, and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Additionally, Bridgeport Hospital notified the ECC that another individual with a gunshot wound arrived at their Emergency Room via a private vehicle. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown. This incident is currently active and under investigation.
