It was low tide and firefighters dispatched units to Seaside Park (top pic) St. Mary's by the Sea (bottom left) and Fairfield (bottom right) and spoke to people on the reefs and no one was in distress. A viewer contacted me and said it was a fisherman at Seaside Park who was in the water up to his waist alarmed a few people in the area to prompt the call. The viewer said the fisherman was surprised I wasn't there!

Bridgeport Carjacking Arrest Made In Milford

Milford CT-- On May 27, 2023, at 7:40am, a report came into the Milford Police Department from a tow truck driver reporting a suspicious male. The male gave the tow truck driver the keys to a vehicle, stating that it was his brother’s car and was “done putting money into it” and walked away. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen, taken in an armed carjacking earlier in Bridgeport. The description of the suspect from the carjacking was given, matching the suspicious male walking toward the Pilot Travel Center. #Bridgeport CT--This morning members of the Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Squad, assisted by the Connecticut State Police Violent Crime Task Force-Bridgeport, arrested 23-year-old Nelson Perez for the murder of 58-year-old Michael Gaines of Bridgeport CT. Mr. Gaines was murdered on April 12, 2023, at the corner of East Main Street and Arctic Street located on the City’s East Side. Perez has been charged with 53a-54a Murder, 53a-217 Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and 53-203 Illegal Discharge of a Firearm. He has a 2-million-dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday June 2, 2023. #Bridgeport CT--On February 17, 2023, 68-year-old Jeffrey Lindo of Bridgeport CT was assaulted at his home during a domestic dispute. Mr. Lindo resided in the 100 block of Charles Street with his daughter and grandson. On February 20, 2023, Mr. Lindo was found unresponsive inside his home and pronounced deceased. In mid-May 2023, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted the Bridgeport Police Department with the cause and manner of death. The cause of death is complications of blunt impact injury of the head with subdural hemorrhage. The manner of death is homicide.
