Bridgeport Police Arrest Suspect Pedro “Joker” Ortiz and Suspect Morris “Moe” Moore

During the months of May and June 2022 the Bridgeport Police Department Narcotics and Vice Division received information that a narcotics dealer referred to as "Joker" was selling crack cocaine out of a residence within the 700 block of Hallett Street. As a result of that investigation the identity of the crack dealer was determined to be 52-year-old Pedro “Joker” Ortiz of Bridgeport, Connecticut.  Narcotics and Vice Detectives further learned that Joker had an associate that would resupply his Hallett Street operation.  A search and seizure warrant was secured for Joker and his residence. VIDEO REPORT: Police UPDATE: On July 3, 2022, at approximately 11:50 pm the Bridgeport Police Emergency Operation Center received a call from a residence within the 1300 block of Stratford Avenue reporting shots fired with at least one round coming through the window. Police responded to the area and determined multiple shooters fired more than (25) rounds along Stratford Avenue close to its intersection with Union Avenue. One projectile was recovered from an interior bedroom wall of a residence located on Stratford Avenue. On July 4, 2022 at approximately 12:10 am Bridgeport Hospital reported a victim walked into their Emergency Room (ER) suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
