#Fairfield CT--Over the past two weeks there has been a tremendous amount of information disseminated through news reports, social media and the town itself about issues related to the management of the aggregate fill pile at the Town’s Public Works Yard on Richard White Way. Unfortunately, some of the information presented in news reports and shared on social media has been inaccurate and misleading, causing concern and anxiety. Fairfield News: Gould Manor Tested For Contaminants

The Town has been made aware of what appears to be pieces of siding shingles, which possibly could contain asbestos, along the sidewalk of Gould Manor Park on Holland Hill Road. The area in question is limited to the sidewalk area along the road and not the ball fields, playground, or park area. The Town is taking this issue very seriously. In 2013 and 2014, there was work related to a new sidewalk and curb that were installed and as is typical, fill and topsoil were used to level out areas and taper off edges. Fairfield News: Murder Suspect Takes Own Life

2019-08-06 @ 5:15pm-- Police received notification of murder suspect James Taylor's ankle monitor going off.  When officer arrived the home he is confined to the discovered the ringing of his cell phone was coming inside a large shipping container or conex box as police called it.  Police used a thermal drone to try and locate a heat signature but were unsuccessful.  Stamford Police brought their robot to the scene to scan the home and the conex box.  Police used what they called a bobcat which is an armored truck with a battering ram to gain entry to the conex box.  Inside the found the suspect dead, they believe it to be a suicide but police continue to investigate.   James…

Fairfield News: Murder Suspect Found Drad

After an extensive manhunt James Taylor was found dead inside a shipping container that was located outside of his house that he was staying in. Fairfield News: Manhunt For Alleged Murderer

2019-08-06 @ 2019@08-06 @ #Fairfield CT-- James Taylor who is out on $2 million bond for allegedly shooting his ex-wife to death on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd is missing.  James Taylor is charged with murder, home invasion, criminal attempt to commit murder, first-degree burglary, illegal discharge of a firearm and third-degree assault for allegedly fatally shooting his ex-wife. His son Chris Taylor who posted the bond  went to the scene but was turned away to the police station on  Reef Road.  The SWAT or Emergency Service Unit (ESU) is now at the scene.  Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin allowed the 75-year-old Taylor to post his $2 million bond on the condition that he live at his son’s Bronson Road…

Westport News: Sewage Leak Update

#Fairfield Beaches are closed. #Westport CT-- First Selectman Jim Marpe and Public Works Director Peter Ratkiewich announced as of 8:30 PM Saturday night, the sewage leak in the Saugatuck River was completely stopped and temporary pumps are in place to utilize the newly installed pipe. The temporary set up will be in place until the permanent pumps are installed next month. The Town has been in close communication with the Connecticut DEEP and the Weston- Westport Health District. Water quality testing will be performed on Monday in effort to re-open the beaches.
