#Fairfield CT-- The historic Burr Mansion located at 739 Old Post Road was turned in to a winter wonderland but only until this Sunday.  Saturday you can and your child can enjoy an old-fashioned tea at the mansion. To quote their website: "Each year volunteers transform the historic Burr Homestead in Fairfield into a spectacular celebration of Christmas. Visitors can enjoy a cup hot cider as they meander through the newly renovated mansion and view the rooms designed by local interior decorators and artists. Fairfield News: Wine Store Break In

Police Update: At approximately 12:33am on 12/1/17, Officers were dispatched to Wine Rack located at 575 Kings Hwy East for the report of multiple alarms with front glass shatter. Officers located a shattered glass window and large rock in the store near the door.  Surveillance showed two males wearing hoodies enter and leave the store with several bottles of merchandise.   12:29am--#Fairfield CT--Dave's Wine Rack located at 575 Kings Hwy East was broken into sometime after midnight.  Entry was made by smashing in the front door.  K-9 was called to the scene, I don't think it was a Bordeaux collie...

Fairfield News: Water Main Break

11:40am--# Bridgeport CT-- A water main break in the 2100 block of Burr Street (south of the Audobon Society).  At 12:12pm police reported the water was turned off and that the roadway has buckled and part of the road is washed away.  The roadway is being closed off and there can be expected construction delays.  Also, low water pressure and brown water can be expected in the area.

The Fairfield Museum & History Center invites the public to submit photographs to the tenth annual IMAGES Juried Photography Show, which celebrates the exceptional work of talented regional photographers. Submissions through the contest website will be accepted from December 1, 2017 through January 22, 2018. A jury will select approximately 40 photographs for exhibition at the Fairfield Museum from March 1 to April 15, 2018. IMAGES 2018 provides an excellent opportunity for artists to connect with prominent collectors, gallery owners, fellow photographers, and the public. Two grand prize winners will be selected, one Professional/Serious Amateur and one Student. #Fairfield CT--The Stratfield Village Association (SVA) held  a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 11 am at Lt. Owen Fish Park, 1401 Stratfield Road, to celebrate a number of improvements to the park which were all privately funded through the SVA, including: • A new toddler playground (the old one was removed over a year ago and not replaced) • Over $10,000 in renovated and updated bathroom facilities • A new trash/dumpster corral • A new, almost mile-long walking trail through the woods behind Lt. Owen Fish Park which connects to the park The new walking trails were dedicated to long-time Stratfield-area resident and WWII Veteran Ed Crowley.
