The Stratford Library will host Westport author Hilary Arnow Burns for a special “Meet- the-Author” program on Sunday, March 10 at 2 pm.  Burns will discuss her humorous new advice book, Real Talk: How to Say the Things You’ve Never Said So You can Have the things You’ve Always Wanted. Stratford author Elisabeth Breslav Is Speaker for March 3 Program The Stratford Library will continue 2024’s “Sunday Afternoon Talks”, its series of informative and entertaining talks featuring prominent local guest speakers, on Sunday, March 3 at 2 pm. Guest speaker Elisabeth Breslav will discuss her stirring memoir, Five Years Under Nazi Occupation. The talk, special for “Women’s History Month”, is free and open to the public. The story of a Dutch girl’s will to survive Word War II, Elisabeth Breslav was 12 years old when Hitler’s troops marched into the Netherlands and 17 when the country was finally liberated. The Stratford Library is hosting “Welcome Week” February 25 to March 2, 2024 to welcome all new individuals and families in Stratford. SQUARE ONE THEATRE HOSTS MEETING AT LIBRARY

Friends Meeting Includes “Sneak-Peek” of CHESTER BAILEY             Friends of Square One Theatre Company, the volunteer organization of the Stratford-based theatre, will hold its final general meeting of its 33rd season on Tuesday, February 27 at 7 pm at the Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford.  The meeting, which is free, open to the public and held in the Library’s Lovell Room, will focus on the theatre’s final production of the season, “Chester Bailey”, opening March 7.                A short business meeting, conducted by President Carole Fanslow, and a rundown of upcoming Friends events will begin the program.
