#Trumbull CT--On Monday, January 6, 2020, Trumbull Police promoted two (2) officers to ranking positions in their department. Brian Falkenstein and Robert Harry, who are both military service veterans, were promoted to the rank of lieutenant and sergeant, respectively, in a brief ceremony hosted by officials at Town Hall. Falkenstein, most recently served as a detective sergeant and has been with Trumbull’s police force for more than thirteen (13) years. His previous assignments included a term at Trumbull High School as a School Resource Officer (SRO). 2019-12-26@7:00PMish--Numerous teenagers were involved in several altercations at the Westfield Trumbull mall on Thursday evening, prompting a significant police response to restore order. Shortly before 7 p.m., several Trumbull police officers were patrolling the mall on foot when they were notified of a fight that broke out between several teenagers on the upper level near the Target store. The responding officers were able to break up the melee and detained six (6) of the subjects as they attempted to flee. As the crowd dispersed, other groups of teens congregated at other locations throughout the mall and more fights broke out. Due to the large crowds and the disorderly conditions, Trumbull Police requested mutual aid and were assisted by officers…
Police UPDATE: Daniel Vasquez, 19, of Bridgeport, and six juveniles were arrested and charged with breach of peace. 3 people were injured. Trumbull police called for mutual aid from Bridgeport, Fairfield and Monroe and K9 officers responded to help break up the crowd. Poor visibility caused two driver to run into this downed branch. It may be 35 degrees out but the trees and elevated things like wires are icing and coming down.

2019-11-22@12:00PMish--#Trumbull CT-- Trumbull Police arrested a woman for leaving an infant unattended in a motor vehicle while she was shopping and eating food at a store inside the Hawley Lane Mall. Angela Ruggiero, age 38 of Beacon Falls, was charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor, and Interfering with an Officer after she struggled with officers who were called for a trespassing complaint at the store. Ruggiero’s 13-month-old niece was located inside of a 2017 Nissan Sentra that was parked in the mall parking lot, where she had been left unattended for nearly an hour. Just after 12:00 noon, employees of the Five Below store reported that Ruggiero appeared to be intoxicated and was eating food while shopping…
