#Trumbull CT--On Monday evening, January 16, 2023, Trumbull Police arrested a teenager after he was found to be carrying a hatchet and intimidating other youths inside of the Trumbull Mall. A fifteen (15) year old male from Bridgeport, was arrested and charged for his involvement in this incident. At approximately 7:00 p.m., as officers were working a security detail at the Trumbull Mall, due to a recent uptick in disturbances that have occurred, they were approached by a patron who pointed to a group of juveniles that were in the food court area. 2023-01-13@7:45pm--#Trumbull CT--Trumbull Police was in pursuit of a stolen car. The car crashed in front of Sacred Heart University at 5151 Park Avenue The five occupants fled in different directions. A female suspect appeared to be injured from the crash and she EMS was called to evaluate her injuries. NY MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING DELIVERY PACKAGES IN TRUMBULL

A New York man was arrested Wednesday, January 4, for package thefts from several Trumbull residences. Jesus Felix, age 23, of the Bronx, New York was charged with Larceny for stealing the packages, which contained Apple products worth more than $8,000. At about 12:00 p.m., Trumbull police were notified of a male who was taking recently delivered packages from addresses near Inwood Road and Springwood Drive. The suspected male was observed stealing the delivered packages from the exterior of the residences and then getting into a white Mercedes-Benz. JUVENILE CAR THIEF ARRESTED IN TRUMBULL

Trumbull Police charged a juvenile boy after he ran from a stolen car that was parked at the Westfield Trumbull Mall, on Monday, December 19. The fifteen (15) year old suspect from Bridgeport was arrested and charged with auto theft for his involvement in this incident. At approximately 5:30 PM, an officer patrolling the area of the mall observed a Toyota RAV4 driving onto mall property. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Bridgeport police on December 18, and was also reported to have been involved an evading motor vehicle accident, where a pedestrian had been hit earlier in the evening. THIEVES TARGET MAIL FROM TRUMBULL RESIDENTS AND SURROUNDING AREAS

The Trumbull Police Department would like to inform the public of a recent increase in mail theft in Trumbull, and neighboring communities. These crimes have become an increasing problems and are also occurring in many areas throughout the state. Mail is being stolen from residential mailboxes, and also from United States Postal Service (USPS) collection boxes that are located in various residential and business areas. Thieves look for a residential mailbox that has their outgoing mail flags in the upright position, alerting mail to be collected, and then thieves steal the contents from within. Thieves are also targeting USPS collection boxes, by gaining access to these bigger mailboxes to steal larger amounts of mail in a shorter amount of time.…
