Four Community Health Centers Receive $18,798,875 from Department of Health & Human Services

Bridgeport, CT— Today, Representative Jim Himes (CT-04) announced that four Southwest Connecticut Community Health Centers will receive $18,798,875 from the Department of Health and Human Services to expand access to vaccines and other health services in underserved communities. The American Rescue Plan (ARP) appropriated funding for these grants.  These grants will be used to expand COVID-19 vaccinations, testing, and treatment. Hartford, CT) — Citing serious concerns about the safety and well-being of children and the harm social media poses to young people, Attorney General William Tong has joined a coalition of 44 attorneys general urging Facebook to abandon its plans to launch a version of Instagram for children under the age of 13.
