While in this area Task Force Officers saw a known group of East-end Gang members loitering on the corner of Stratford at Wilmont Avenues. As they were approached one male, later identified as Stanley Gill DOB 5/22/2001, he saw the police vehicle and reacted by breaking away from the group. 2019-08-21 @ 4:03PM--#Fairfield CT-- A complainant came to police headquarters and reported that he believed his father, was having a mental break-down at their home on Wormwood Road. The complainant stated that his father had just picked up a police report from the Westport that indicated that his wife was having an affair. When officers made contact with the respondent, he made comments that he was considering to harm himself. At this time, the respondent had barricaded himself inside the residence with several firearms. The Fairfield Police Emergency Services Unit, which included trained negotiators, were dispatched to the scene where they began negotiations for the respondent to surrender. 2019-08-14 @ Police received a report of shots fired at Maplewood and Howard Avenue. A short time later police received a report of "gun shot wound to his penis". The victim name is Rodney Moore 4-16-1958. He was not cooperative with suspect or location of incident. Police spokesperson Terron Jones confirmed it was at this location and that of this moment non-life threatening. This is the second shooting at this corner in a week. It is unknown if the health department will shut this store down.

On Saturday, August 10th, at approximately 12:04 p.m., an 82 year old woman was walking into the Westfield Trumbull Mall when she was pushed to the ground by an unidentified male who stole her purse and fled in her gray Honda Accord. The victim stated that she was walking in the parking lot towards JC Penney when she was attacked. Witnesses stated that they heard a woman screaming for help and observed the suspect running away with the victim’s beige purse. He then sped away in the victim’s vehicle, toward the Main Street exit. The witnesses notified the police immediately. The victim suffered minor injuries that included abrasions on her arms and legs.
