Monroe News: Chemical Fire – One Burned

At approximately 2:20 pm on May 14th, fire, EMS and police were called to Axel Plastics Research Laboratories, Inc. located at 50 Cambridge Drive in Monroe for a reported fire in the building with an injured party. This was a chemical fire that was extinguished prior to the fire department’s arrival.
Two employees were injured in the incident and transported to a local hospital by EMS. I have no further information regarding the extent of their injuries or condition. The cause of the incident is under investigation by the Monroe Fire Marshal’s Office and the State of CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).

 

2:20pm–#Monroe CT– There is a chemical fire at Axel Plastics Research Laboratories, Inc. at 50 Cambridge Drive.  There is a report of one person being burned.  The extent of their injuries are not known at this time.  Firefighters reporting the fire is now out.

Fairfield News: Missing Autistic Child

UPDATE: The child has been located and now with his mother!  What a Happy Mother’s Day for sure!

 

11:11am–#Fairfield CT– Police are looking for a missing 10-year-old autistic boy.  The child was attending services at Black Rock Congregational Church at 3685 Black Rock Turnpike.  Police are concentrating their search in the wooded area behind the church.  The child was spotted near Congress Street but he fled when approached.

Greenwich News: Possible Body To Be Recovered From Water

2:28pm–UPDATE: State police radio says what was thought to be a body in the water was just trash and bags.  Police were at exit 3 northbound for an accident that required extrication.  The driver said there was a passenger who was missing from the car and area which raised the concerns of a body in the water.

 

2:11am–#Greenwhich CT– There is police activity on I-95 northbound near exit 3.  Greenwich Police are assisting State Police with a dive team for a possible body recovery from the water off the highway.

 

Bridgeport News: Break In At Starbucks

Police UPDATE: In a story we were first to tell you about Sunday morning, a man was arrested for breaking into the Starbucks at 255 East Main Street. Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez credits police’s quick response in the arrest. The chief said patrol assigned to the area in an anticipated weekend quickly responded and K-9 was able to track the suspect, Richard Beltron and took him into custody without incident. The cash register taken in the break-in was also recovered.

 

1:11am–#Bridgeport CT– Police are investigating a break-in at the Starbucks at 255 East Main Street.  According to radio reports the cash register was taken but recovered.  It may have been discovered by delivery people who were seen on seen making deliveries.
