Norwalk Police Say Driver Sober Or Get McPulled Over

St. Patrick’s Day is one of America’s most widely celebrated holidays, for the Irish and non-Irish alike. It’s a great excuse to gather with friends and family and make merry over bangers n’ mash and a pint of green beer. Sadly, the night often ends with drunk drivers on the road, which pose a threat to other drivers, vehicle passengers, and pedestrians. In 2016 alone, 60 people were killed in drunk-driving crashes during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday period (6 p.m. March 16 to 5:59 a.m. March 18). Not only is this behavior deadly, it is illegal. Bridgeport News: House Fire

9:02am--#Bridgeport CT--  A fire in the basement of 1002 Pembroke Street spread to the third floor this morning.  One tenant on the second floor was treated for smoke inhalation.  The fire went to two alarms before firefighters were able to bring the fire under control.  The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.  Red Cross are on scene assisting the tenants with temporary housing and aid.

Trumbull News: Man Exposes Himself To Jogger

#Trumbull CT-- On March 14, 2018, a jogger reported to police that a male in his car reportedly exposed himself to her on Huntington Turnpike near the Nichols fields in Trumbull. The male also reportedly followed her and asked repeatedly if she wanted a ride before eventually driving away. Police are requesting that anyone who may have information on this incident please contact us. On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at around 5:00 p.m., a female was jogging in the Nichols park along Huntington Turnpike (Rt. 108) near Unity Road. Bridgeport News: Police Open Fire After Pursuit

9:07pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just after 9pm police attempted to pull over a red Toyota Camry on Laurel Avenue. The car took off and a short pursuit turned on to Wood Avenue, across North Avenue before coming to a stop at the corner of Birdseye Street. Police spokesperson Av Harris said that one shot was fired from a police officer, no one was hit. The officer was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital for protocol observation. I counted three suspects, all three were transported to the hospital after being tased. This is still breaking news, Av Harris has not spoken with detectives so this information can change.
