Ansonia News: Stranger Danger

#Ansonia CT–On July 14, 2020 at approximately 8:00 P.M., the Ansonia Police Department investigated a suspicious person complaint on Day Street in the Ansonia Middle School parking lot. Two juvenile females, ages 11 and12, were walking in the parking lot of the middle school when they were approached by a black vehicle being driven by a black male who told the females several times to get into his vehicle. The juveniles ran from the scene and the suspect fled. The vehicle is described as a black smaller SUV with the rear windows tinted and the driver was a black male wearing a red hat and red shirt with gold rim glasses. Ansonia News: Delivery Driver Robbery Arrest

#Ansonia, CT–On July 13, 2020, the Ansonia Police Department served an arrest warrant on Leroy Shaw, age 22, of Ansonia for his involvement in the robbery of a food delivery driver on Beaver Street on December 31, 2018. Shaw’s arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the robbery, where two males robbed a delivery driver of cash and the food. One of the males showed a handgun during the robbery. During the investigation, Detective Brian Harte was able to identify Shaw from the evidence recovered at the scene and through subsequent search warrants. Shaw was charged with Robbery First Degree, Larceny Second Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery First Degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny Second Degree. Shaw posted a $50,000 bond and was released with a court date of October 8, 2020, at Derby Superior Court. Additional arrests are expected in this case.

 

 

 

Shelton News: Warehouse Fire

1:33am–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters still putting out hot spots and it extended to another building so they are still on the scene six hours later.  Most of the mutual aid from surrounding towns started leaving around 11pm.

Radio reports say this is a defensive attack now, which means now one in the building.  All firefighting will be from the exterior.
