On 03/04/16, at approximately 9:00pm, the victim and another male of this incident approached 2 officers in the area of 176 Post Road West stating they needed help and that Jose Correaattacked them. Correa was reportedly following the victim on Route 15, and continued to follow the victim off exit 41. When the victim’s vehicle came to as stop at a traffic light on Wilton Road, Correa exited his vehicle and jumped on the hood of the victim’s vehicle, smashing the windshield. Correa then fled the scene. Officers were able to contact Correa by cell phone and he met police on Post Road West where he was taken into custody. Westport News: Energy Drink Theft

On 02/19/16 at approximately 8:00pm, Westport Officers responded to the Newtown Police Department to arrest Branden Betas on an active warrant held by Westport. On 11/26/15, suspect Betas was captured on Stop and Shop surveillance placing energy drinks into a bag and leaving the store without paying. Store security positively identified Betas because he was arrested at the Bridgeport Stop and Shop for a similar crime. Betas was held on a $2,500.00 bond and has a court date in Norwalk on 02/29/16. Westport News: Thieves Steal Boots and Get the Boot

#Westport CT--On 02/25/16, Westport Officers responded to The Stamford Police Department to take Andre Fowler into custody for an active arrest warrant held by Westport. On 01/19/16, two male suspects stole 3 pairs of boots while distracting store employees. The employees noticed the boots were missing after the suspects left the store, so they reviewed the in store video footage. Store employees notified the surrounding stores of the theft, and description of the suspects. On 01/21/16, two days after the Theory theft, store employees from J Crew called Theory advising that the same suspects were in their store (J Crew). Officers located the suspects, who were subsequently arrested for shoplifting from J Crew. Warrants were then obtained for the Theory thefts, and Fowler was arrested on 02/25/16, with…

Westport News: Hit and Run and Capture

On 02/05/16 at approximately 10:15am, Westport Officers responded to a Main Street address to serve an active warrant for William Boland. On 01/23/16, Boland reportedly drove his vehicle into the front of the restaurant Senor Salsa, 221 Post Road West. A witness observed Boland exit the vehicle, then get back in the vehicle and leave the scene. The witness wrote down the license plate number and gave it to the responding Officers. Approximately one week after the incident, the witness positively identified Boland in a photograph line up as the individual who crashed and fled the scene on 01/23/16. Boland wrote and signed a sworn statement denying that he was the operator of the vehicle. Boland posted the $500.00 bond and has a court date in Norwalk on…

  #Westport CT-- On Thursday, January 28, 2016, Westport Police Officers responded to 385 Post Rd. E. (Wireless Zone) on a report that two males were in the store attempting to open accounts using fraudulent identifications. The complainant advised that once they began to question the authenticity of the identifying documents (out of state driver’s license), the two suspects quickly exited the store. Officers responded to Verizon to begin the investigation, while other Officers began checking the area for the suspects.
