5:40pm--#Bridgeport CT--- Police are investigating two strong-armed robberies (force no gun) off East Main Street. The first robbery took place near Waverly Place. 6 young teens robbed someone a person of their cellphone. The second incident happened near Louisianna Avenue, there was no suspect info on this one so it is unknown if the two events are connected. This news report is made possible by:

#Stratford CT--What an incredibly humbling week for our SEMS Staff! We were visited today by a Cardiac Arrest Victim from 2/18/2018 who WALKED into our headquarters just 10 days later! He was able to meet EMT David Foster who was 1/2 of the EMS crew which responded on 2/18 and speak with Alex Lenches who was the crew chief in charge of coordinating the pre-hospital care. In emergency medical services, we very infrequently get to see our patients again, and even less frequently get the opportunity and honor to celebrate with a patient in their full recovery from a devastating event. On February 25, 2018, Norwalk Police investigated a larceny complaint at the Shell Gas Station on Westport Ave. The victim entered the establishment and placed his phone down on the front counter. After he completed his transaction, he left and forgot the phone. The victim returned to the gas station a short time later hoping to retrieve his phone. However, the phone was taken prior to the victim returning. The suspect is described as a male, possibly Asian with long black hair, brown eyes, mustache, an earring in left ear with eyeglasses. #Stratford CT-- On Saturday 2/24/2018 Officers responded to 2248 Barnum Ave Barnum Wine and Spirits for a Hispanic male in the parking lot carrying a rife and making threats. Officers responded to the scene and arrested Brian Torres DOB 8/9/1972. The investigation revealed that Torres was in an argument with another white male then went to his vehicle and pulled out the rifle and pointed it at the other male and threated to “blow his head off”. Torres made racial remarks to the white male victim and is also a convicted felon. #Bridgeport CT-- Just before 11pm Sunday night a person driving by the Boys and Girls Club at 555 Madison Avenue called 911 to report heavy smoke and visible flame coming from the second floor window of the building. When firefighters arrived they confirmed the report and immediately began searching the vacant building for anyone inside (like homeless people making it their home). Primary and secondary found no one inside the building. Three fire hoses were used as well as two ladder trucks were used to battle the blaze. Within an hour firefighters reported that they had the fire under control and that they were chasing “hot spots”. The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of…
#Westport CT--On August 16, 2017, the Westport Police Department received a report from a resident of California who advised that she had contracted with a moving company out of Brooklyn, NY to move her possessions from her former residence in Westport to her new residence in California. The victim reported that her property never arrived in California and she was now unable to reach the moving company. Officers from patrol began the investigation, which was turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation. Investigators learned the victim made an initial payment to the “owner” of the moving company and on the date of the move, she was required to pay the balance of the contract.
