2024-04-27@1:11pm--#Stratford CT-- Firefighters were called to a structure fire on Freeman Avenue. The fire was towards the rear of the building and extended to a second structure and a brush fire. Everyone made it out of the building safely. A couple minutes after arriving to this fire another alarm of fire was called on Honeyspot Road. See our second report.

UnitedHealth Group is the nation’s largest health insurer and the parent company of Change Healthcare. On February 21, 2024, Change Healthcare experienced a cyberattack by ALPHV/Blackcat, which crippled its platform. Bridgeport News: Man Shot

2024-04-27@12:45am--#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating a shooting in the 300 block of Orchard Street (near Boston Avenue). The man was shot in the back. Police said in a statement "At 12:45am hrs, ECC received multiple calls of a shooting incident at the 300 block of Orchard Street. Upon arrival, officers found one individual down.  The victim was promptly transported to Bridgeport Hospital.  No further updates on the victim’s condition at this time."

State police in Bridgeport released body camera footage showing a trooper injured during a traffic stop on I-95. The trooper, Robert Coyne, and the driver, Gamalier Mitchell-Millan, sustained non life-threatening injuries. Mitchell-Millan faces charges including failure to meet insurance requirements and failure to maintain a proper lane.
