Fairfield News: Basement Fire
10:11am--#Fairfield CT--Fire and ice would describe the situation at 333 Cornell Road this morning. The homeowner told me he had a frozen pipe he was trying to thaw. He was using a space heater and went upstairs, within two minutes the wall in his basement was on fire. Firefighters told me that the flames quickly jumped through a crawl space into the attic.
