2:14pm---#Bridgeport--Bridgeport are looking for two black males possibly “Blood” gang members involved in street fight at 587 Capital Ave. Last seen in a gray Chevy Impala , possibly with shotguns in the car.. Last seen headed west on Capitol Ave. 2:30am--Bridgeport--Vehicle fire fully involved at 74 Texas Avenue. Police are investigating a one car accident that occurred on Brooklawn Terrace in Fairfield around 1am on May 18th. According to witnesses the "stocky" driver was seen leaving the scene walking towards Brooklawn Avenue. Police apprehended the driver about an hour later.

As we reported as the news was breaking, At 11:09 PM on Wednesday May 11th a Papurah Road resident called the Fairfield Emergency Communications Center to report a vehicle fire on the Merritt Parkway. She stated that she could see the fire from her back yard and called back several times to advise that she had been hearing several explosions. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 1997 Chrysler Town and Country Mini Van fully involved in fire. The magnesium component of the vehicle were burning and exploding. Fairfield--Fire department contained a blaze at 157 Brentwood Avenue to just one unit of a four-unit condominium. The fire appeared to have started on the third floor in a rear room used as an office. One fire fighter was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for dehydration; several pets and occupants of adjacent units were removed unharmed. Story of man calling 911 for beer delivery NOT true-Tim Quinn, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department issued the following statement to clarify the facts: Sunday night, about 6:30, there was a 9-1-1 call from a Queen Street address in the north end. Here's something you don't see everyday.  We don't normally report on fender benders but it is rare to see a Brinks Armored Truck and a Jaguar involved in one.  It occurred in Fairfield on Kings Highway at the traffic circle in front of Staples.  There were no reported injuries, the Jaguar received damage to the rear bumper.         As we exclusively reported last night here is the official police report so far regarding the two dogs hit and dragged on Maplewood Ave. in Bridgeport: Officer was on patrol on Maplewood Avenue and came across an American Bulldog lying on the side of the road. Senate Passes Budget 19-17

There wasn’t much Senate Republicans could do in order to change the destiny of the two year, $40.11 billion budget adopted by the Senate Tuesday morning. But they tried offering 18 amendments, 17 of which were defeated along party lines and one which was ruled out of order. The debate lasted for more than 11 hours until after 3:10 a.m., but in the end 19 Democratic Senators voted in favor of it.
