On December 24, 2023, Officer Robinson responded to a domestic violence incident at 1201 Boston Post Road. The victim reported an altercation with Misael Mercado at the mall, prompting them to leave to avoid public confrontation. Subsequently, as the victim entered their vehicle, Misael followed and physically assaulted them. City of Bridgeport Water Pollution Control Authority Approves New Operator Agreement, Achieves $60 Million in Savings

Bridgeport, CT— Last week, the City of Bridgeport Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) Board voted to approve a new ten-and-a-half-year agreement with Inframark, LLC. to run the day-to-day operations of the WPCA’s wastewater treatment facilities. Inframark, which has been the WPCA’s third-party operator for the last 10 years, was awarded the contract after an extensive bidding process and negotiation with the board. Under the new agreement which will take effect January 1, 2024, the WPCA will achieve a savings of over $60 million (approximately $6 million per year) relative to the existing operating agreement. On December 22, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm Bridgeport Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Dekalb Avenue on the report of a party shot.  Police arrived on scene and located the victim.   The victim was transported to an area hospital via AMR Ambulance for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound (graze) to the head.  The Detective Bureau responded and took charge of the investigation.  The scene was processed, evidence was collected, and interviews were conducted.
