City of Bridgeport Water Pollution Control Authority Approves New Operator Agreement, Achieves $60 Million in Savings
Bridgeport, CT— Last week, the City of Bridgeport Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) Board voted to approve a new ten-and-a-half-year agreement with Inframark, LLC. to run the day-to-day operations of the WPCA’s wastewater treatment facilities. Inframark, which has been the WPCA’s third-party operator for the last 10 years, was awarded the contract after an extensive bidding process and negotiation with the board. Under the new agreement which will take effect January 1, 2024, the WPCA will achieve a savings of over $60 million (approximately $6 million per year) relative to the existing operating agreement. Police confirmed our report saying the man was shot in the right leg and left hand and has non-life-threatening injuries. Police applied a tourniquet while waiting for EMS. Senators Question Tesla On Safety
After alarming reporting on Tesla safety flaws, U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Edward J. Markey (D-MA) called on the company to immediately recall all vehicle components that pose a risk to consumers. Bridgeport News: Shooting
On December 22, 2023, at approximately 11:00 pm Bridgeport Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Dekalb Avenue on the report of a party shot. Police arrived on scene and located the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital via AMR Ambulance for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound (graze) to the head. The Detective Bureau responded and took charge of the investigation. The scene was processed, evidence was collected, and interviews were conducted. The victim has been identified as a 21-year-old Naugatuck man. The victim was seated in a parked car, with friends from the Dekalb Avenue neighborhood, when he shot.
