The Stratford Library Reference Department and its Knit Wits program present a Yarn Swap on Saturday, January 27 (2024) at 11 am. The program is free and open to the public. One crafter’s unwanted yarn is another’s inspiration. Do you have a yarn stash that is languishing, unused and unappreciated?Crafters are invited to bring their unwanted yarn to the Library’s first-ever Yarn Swap. Participants should package their yarn in clear bags and be ready to negotiate with fellow yarn lovers. 2023-12-14@10:18pm--#Fairfield CT-- Firefighters are investigating a smoke condition in the basement at Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill at 2070 Post Road.
On 11/29/23 at around 11:30 pm, the Fairfield police responded to a glass break alarm at Lenox Jewelers located at 2500 Black Rock Turnpike. When an Officer arrived on scene, he located a vehicle exiting the parking lot of Lenox Jewelers. The Officer was unable to stop the vehicle as it fled at a high rate of speed. Officers confirmed that a burglary in fact just occurred. Entry was made through a smashed out front window and around $56,000 in jewelry had been taken. The investigation of the burglary was then followed up by the Quality-of-Life unit who collaborated with the Bridgeport Auto Theft Task Force.
