This is by far the largest CIF grant that has been awarded to date. In January, Mayor Ganim convened a working group of federal, state and local officials to work with PSEG on a plan for the future of the decommissioned plant. Then, shortly after a call for a car fire on Indian Avenue for a car fire. I appreciate our viewers who send in photos and videos. You help keep us all informed in our neighborhoods!
Norwalk Stabbing Arrest
On September 17, 2023 at approximately 2:02 PM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 callstating that a male was stabbed in front of 23 Ely Avenue.Multiple officers responded to the area to provide emergency medical aid and to look for the suspect.Upon their arrival to the scene, officers were quickly able to provide medical assistance to thevictim, who was stabbed on the right side of his abdomen. As an officer tended to the victim, otherofficers were able to locate the suspect, Jose Luis Pineda-Rodrigues, in close proximity. Officerswere able to locate a crime scene and Norwalk Detectives assumed the investigation.The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment to his injuries.Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is…

BRIDGEPORT POLICE ANNOUNCE ARRESTS IN OPERATION “TAKE BACK PARK AVE" The Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrests today of multiple suspects involved in a triple shooting at a Park Avenue deli in late August of this year. Approximately 40 shots were fired during that incident. Two of the victims were innocent bystanders. These arrests are the result of a month-long investigation named Operation “Take Back Park Ave." The investigation was launched after numerous shootings and (1) stabbing resulted in two homicides in that same area between May and September of this year.
