Bridgeport News: Fire on Federal Street

3:58am--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to a structure fire in the 100 block of Federal Street.  Police were first on the scene and reported heavy fire on the 2nd floor of a multi-family building.   The police then worked to make sure everyone was out of the building.  Firefighters had called the evacuation tone to get all the firefighters out of the building and fight the fire from outside.  Within 40 minutes the firefighters had the bulk of the fire out.  There were no reported injuries. https://youtu.be/eHB9cH6abxg

Bridgeport News: Stand Off Ends Peacefully

2022-11-13@2:29pm--#Bridgeport News: Police said that security at Harborview Towers at 376 Washington Avenue reported that a tenant inside the building was knocking on doors with a knife. The person went back to their apartment and according to a witness, he barricaded himself in. Bridgeport Police said they were successful in convincing him to open the door so they could speak to him. He was placed in custody without incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
