Police UPDATE: The homicide victim from Newfield Avenue has been identified as 35 year old Michael John Bernardo III.  Michael had ties to the local area as well as in Port Saint Lucie Florida.   The Bridgeport Police Department offers its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Michael Bernardo. #Bridgeport CT-- On April 28, 2022, at approximately 12:20 pm, Bridgeport Police responded to 239 Newfield Avenue on the report of a disturbance inside the Garcia Mini Market.
