#Bridgeport CT--Today, UI/SCG (AVANGRID) presented a check of $50,000 to the Center for Family Justice. In an average year, Safe House provides nearly 5,000 bed-nights of shelter to adults and children fleeing from domestic violence at home. But since the pandemic, they have been operating beyond full capacity, In fact, the overflow strain has required a 4,300% increase in hotel bed-nights provided vs. the same period last year!
