#Bridgeport CT--Today, UI/SCG (AVANGRID) presented a check of $50,000 to the Center for Family Justice. In an average year, Safe House provides nearly 5,000 bed-nights of shelter to adults and children fleeing from domestic violence at home. But since the pandemic, they have been operating beyond full capacity, In fact, the overflow strain has required a 4,300% increase in hotel bed-nights provided vs. the same period last year!

#Stratford CT-- On 04/26/2022 the Stratford Police with the assistance of the Connecticut StatePolice conducted part of an ongoing investigation which led officers to the area ofShort Beach to investigate suspicious or hazardous materials. Bridgeport Police is about 120 officers short when officers were moving to other towns. Now retirements will continue to thin the herd with about 50 retirements by the end of summer.
