On May 5. 2022, at approximately 1842 hours Detective T. Toth and Detective S. Mirtsopoulus were traveling east on Congress Street and stopped for a red light at Congress Street and Housatonic Avenue. Both detectives observed a group people riding stand-up electric scooters on the sidewalk. The group was traveling north on the sidewalk of Housatonic Avenue. MAYOR HOYDICK VOTES AGAINST SALE OF SIKORSKY AIRPORT TO CONNECTICUT AIRPORT AUTHORITY
STRATFORD – During a Special Meeting late yesterday afternoon the Sikorsky Memorial Airport Commission voted in favor of selling the airport to the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA). The vote was conducted over the objection of Mayor Laura R. Hoydick who cast the lone vote in opposition as the only Stratford member of the Commission. In March of this year, when Bridgeport changed their position from wanting to enter into an operator agreement with the CAA for the airport to outright selling it to them, Mayor Hoydick publicly expressed interest in pursuing the purchase of the airport by Stratford. #Bridgeport CT--On February 17, 2022 Detectives assigned to the Bridgeport Police Special Victim’s Unit responded to St. Vincent’s Hospital on the report of a 55-year-old female being treated for a violent sexual assault that occurred earlier that morning. As a result of their criminal investigation, Detectives determined the victim was assaulted at a residence within the 300 block of Griffin Avenue. Detectives were also able to confirm 57-year-old Harold Clarke Sr. as a suspect in the assault. Clarke Sr. turned himself into the Bridgeport Police Department this morning on an arrest warrant charging him with Aggravated Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree 53a-70a. Bond has been set at $250,000 and he is scheduled to be arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court…
