Bridgeport News: Fatal Crash

#Bridgeport News:  On June 26, 2020, at approximately 9:03 pm Bridgeport Patrol Officers and Bridgeport Firefighters responded to the scene of a serious crash at the intersection of Boston Avenue and Pembroke Street.  This was a car vs motorcycle crash involving a 2011 blue & white Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle and a 2019 gray Nissan Altima. The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Boston Avenue in the left lane, approaching its intersection with Pembroke Street, when the crash occurred.  There are two travel lanes heading eastbound on Boston Avenue at this location. The Nissan Altima, also traveling eastbound on Boston Avenue in the right lane, attempted to turn left (northbound) onto Pembroke Street from the right lane.  This blocked the travel of…

Fairfield News: Downed Wires- NOT Police Activity

2020-06-26@12:09pm--#Fairfield CT--#MetroNorth-- Metro-North posted on Twitter that "due to police department activity near Fairfield Metro. Customers requiring those stations are advised to seek alternate transportation".  I reached out to Fairfield Police Chief Lyddy who said there is no police activity but downed wires.  Just as I was about to post this Metro-North reported the service has resumed.

Fairfield Yoot Programs

Fairfield, CT/June 26, 2020 – The Fairfield Museum is pleased to announce that it will be offering two options for Summer Youth Programs beginning in July. The Museum’s In-Person Workshops will include safe, on-site activities while the take-home Curbside Activity Kits provide projects that kids can work on at home. Running July 13 – August 27, the Museum’s In-Person Workshops are for children, ages 8- 12, who are comfortable participating with others at the museum while practicing social distancing and other recommended precautions.
