There is an active manhunt between that area, he was last seen on Hoover Street. Thursday, Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport) released the following statement in response to the release of an Office of Internal Affairs report on the misconduct of 17 Bridgeport police officers. “Today’s revelations of abuse, lies, and misconduct by certain members of the Bridgeport Police Department is truly shocking and heartbreaking. Police investigations are solved, crimes are prevented, and communities are safer when public safety officials have the trust of the community. That trust is shattered after a day like today. “I believe this report is only the beginning of getting to the truth. Bridgeport Police Internal Affairs Investigation

#Bridgeport CT--The Internal Affairs investigation related to incidents that took place in July 2017 at a house party on Colorado Avenue in Bridgeport reports that seventeen officers have been cited with various violations. The cited officers will go before a civilian tribunal, Bridgeport Police Commission, where the charges may result in disciplinary action that may include termination, suspension, demotion, or additional training. This matter is still pending and under review. Clearly, these are serious charges that will be brought before the Police Commission for action. If the officers are found guilty by the Board of Commissioners, they will be subject to the stated disciplinary protocols. Stratford Police UPDATE: A shooting occurred in Stratford near 772 Success Avenue on March 7 th 2019. The incident occurred at approximately 8:47p.m. at which time one male victim was shot twice in the torso. The victim was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment and is in critical condition. Westport News: Church Fire

Westport Fire Department UPDATE: At 8:24pm the Westport Fire Department responded to an activated fire alarm at Christ and Holy Trinity Church. The department responded with 2 engines, a ladder truck and the shift commander. Companies arrived and began their investigation into the cause of the alarm when they found a heavy smoke condition in the church. Three additional engine companies (2 from Westport and 1 from Fairfield) were requested to the scene. Initial companies searched the church and found the fire in a room adjacent to the altar. Hose lines were stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished. The Fairfield Fire Department, Westport Police Department, Westport EMS, and Westport Highway Department all assisted on the scene.
