Westport Update on Limitations of Recreational Gatherings

Westport, CT – Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Fava announced today that in accordance with Governor Lamont’s Executive Order 7TT, effective June 1, 2020, the limitation on the number of people allowed in a recreational gathering has been increased from 5 people to 25 people for outdoor recreational gatherings. Outdoor gatherings are now permitted for up to and including 25 people with the following restrictions: No contact sports or sports that include shared handling of objects such as balls or frisbees are allowed. Bridgeport News: Person Shot

Police UPDATE: Police confirmed that the gunshot victim incident happened in the vicinity of Highland Avenue. Victim stated he was waiting in his car when he shots fired and a few moments later felt pain in the area of his shoulder. Injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.   UPDATE: The victim was shot at Highland Avenue. UPDATE: One apartment in Trumbull Gardens had a bullet come in thier home. BRIDGEPORT, CT – Mayor Ganim announces the additional seizure of 7 ATVs, and 3 motorcycles in an effort to increase public safety and stop residents from illegally operating ATV’s on city streets.
