Bridgeport Detectives Make Arrest In Homicide

Karim Skipworth, of 121 Hicks St., surrendered at Police Headquarters today on a warrant charging him with murder, carrying a pistol without a permit and criminal possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $1 million.   “Detectives investigating this case worked day and night since the incident,” said Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett Jr. “We owed that to the family and to our city. Detectives pursued every lead and followed the evidence where it took them. That led us to the suspect. “The investigators did outstanding work.” The homicide squad led by Lt. Greater Fairfield County Softball Umpire Association (GFCSUA) announces it membership meeting on March 8, 2015 at St. Joseph High School Auditorium at 9:15am and new  membership umpire classes, which started on March 4, 2015 and continues for four successive Wednesdays at Fairfield Ludlowe High School at 6:00pm. Those interested in umpiring high school athletic softball competitions in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference and South West Conference are required to attend rules and mechanics training classes that will be held March 11, 17, 25 and April 1 at 6:00pm.
