#Westport CT-- On Thursday, January 28, 2016, Westport Police Officers responded to 385 Post Rd. E. (Wireless Zone) on a report that two males were in the store attempting to open accounts using fraudulent identifications. The complainant advised that once they began to question the authenticity of the identifying documents (out of state driver’s license), the two suspects quickly exited the store. Officers responded to Verizon to begin the investigation, while other Officers began checking the area for the suspects. On 01/21/16 at approximately 11:20pm, Westport Officers were dispatched to a Franklin Street address on a report of a disturbance. Officers located an open door and entered the residence. The victim was located bleeding from the head and the accused, James Olivia, had left the scene. Officers located Olivia at his residence in Norwalk a short time later. Officers determined that Olivia grabbed and struck the victim in the face, then stopped the victim from calling 911. Olivia was arrested and held on a $10,000.00 bond with a court date the next morning. 2:11am--#Bridgeport CT-- Just after closing police received a call of a group of men fighting outside the Sugar and Spice Club at 1394 Park Avenue. Then shots rang out and man was found outside the club shot in the leg. He told police it happened somewhere else and was not cooperating with police. He was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
