Suspect Apprehended After Foot Chase on Pearl Street

On December 5, 2024, Fairfield Officers D. Teixeira and Z. Ruscoe were conducting direct patrols in the area of Pearl Street and Orchard Street due to a recent uptick in criminal activity. While monitoring the area, the officers observed a hand-to-hand transaction consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics. When officers approached, the suspect fled on foot into a nearby apartment building. He forced his way into an occupied unit, closing the door behind him. Attempting to escape further, he used the building’s fire escape but was apprehended shortly after by responding officers. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Courtney T. Bridgeport Man Arrested with Stolen Handgun During Traffic Stop

https://youtu.be/quCYdTs1dvM On the evening of December 10, Bridgeport Officers Salce and Rrapi were patrolling the Hollow area when they stopped a speeding vehicle on Harral Avenue for lacking a front license plate. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Felix Manuel Delvalle of Bridgeport, was found to be uninsured and acting suspiciously. During a safety pat-down, officers recovered a loaded Ruger handgun with six rounds of ammunition, later confirmed as stolen in 2018. Delvalle was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, failure to display license plates, and operating without insurance. His bond was set at $75,000.

Norwalk Man with 4 Outstanding Narcotics Warrants Arrested After Foot Chase

On December 4, 2024, Special Services Division Officers arrested Derik McCoy, 35, of Norwalk, after observing him driving his 2006 Black BMW. McCoy, who had four outstanding narcotics warrants, fled on foot during a traffic stop but was apprehended a short distance away. During his arrest, officers discovered approximately 24.53 grams of crack cocaine, two scales, and $711 in cash. The four outstanding warrants, each with a $60,000 bond, stemmed from a long-term narcotics investigation. McCoy now faces additional charges, including possession and sale of narcotics, and his bond totals $390,000.

Ansonia Police Investigate Pork Hollow Road Shooting

On December 8, 2024 at about 7:25 P.M. the Ansonia Police Department received a shots fired complaint on Pork Hollow Road. The first officers on scene found a 37-year-old Ansonia resident that was shot in the lower body along with evidence of multiple shots fired. The male was transported to a local hospital for the non-life-threatening injury. During the investigation a vehicle of interest has been identified, it is a newer model Ford Mustang convertible, color blue or grey with white license plates. This appears to be an isolated incident and there is currently no danger to the public. Robbery Arrest in Norwalk

On December 4, 2024, patrol officers responded to a report of an overnight robbery involving a $3,000 theft. The victim, who was acquainted with the suspect, 19-year-old Boston Leger, reported being assaulted at his home during a scuffle in which Leger allegedly stole the cash. Following an investigation by the Detective Bureau, Leger was located and arrested at his residence in Norwalk. He faces charges of Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 3rd Degree. Leger is being held on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 15, 2024.
