A Norwalk man was arrested on gun and narcotics charges while driving around with an unsecured baby on his lap. On March 31, 2024 at 11:49 AM a patrol officer observed a man driving around with a baby on his lap. The officer pulled the car over and did not see an infant car seat anywhere in the car. Officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car. Officers searched the car which led to the discovery of .762 lbs. of marijuana and a Sig Sauer P365 loaded handgun. Carjacking Incident

On March 28, 2024 at 5:02 AM Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a carjacking that occurred on Westport Avenue. During the incident, two suspects stole a BMW X3 from the owner at gunpoint. The suspects fled and attempted another carjacking at the intersection of Dry Hill Road and Westport Avenue. The driver was able to maneuver the vehicle past the suspect vehicle and flee. The carjacked vehicle was recovered by Patrol Division Officers in Norwalk earlier today. Westport Police Arrest Three in Overnight Car Burglary

(Westport, CT) On March 26, 2024 at approximately 12:42 am, Westport Police responded to a residence near Compo Beach on a report from a homeowner that their vehicle was being burglarized. The complainant reported that their Ring doorbell camera activated when a suspect entered a vehicle parked in the driveway. The complainant reported that a dark colored vehicle was waiting in the street for the suspect.
