His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

#Bridgeport CT--On April 7, 2023, at approximately 1:05 am a ShotSpotter activation occurred at building 4 in the Greene Homes Housing Complex. ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection system. Ballistic evidence was collected within the housing complex. On April 7, 2023, at approximately 1:35 am the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received information that a male party presented at an area hospital suffering from a single gunshot wound to the knee. The victim is a 34-year-old man who was uncooperative and only provided conflicting information to law enforcement and hospital staff as to where the incident occurred. #Stratford CT--On 04/05/2023 Scott Watkins age 41 was arrested by warrant for an armed robbery that occurred at the Milford Savings Bank located on Main Street in Paradise Green, Stratford. The robbery occurred on 03/23/2023 at approximately 3pm. Watkins was charged with Robbery in the Second Degree and Larceny in the Third Degree. Watkins is currently incarcerated for an unrelated incident and was arraigned at the time of his arrest in court. During the incident approximately $2,250 dollars was stolen from the bank.

#Westport CT---On Tuesday, 04/04/23, at approximately 11:39 p.m., Troop G dispatch received a report of an evading motor vehicle accident in a construction zone on Interstate 95 Northbound in the area of Exit 17 in Westport. The caller reported that his vehicle had been struck and so had a truck working in a construction zone. He reported that he was now traveling northbound behind the black Honda which had allegedly evaded the scene. A responding trooper located the Honda traveling northbound in the left lane in the area of Exit 20 and observed that it was drifting from the median into the center lane, failing to properly maintain a travel lane. Police UPDATE: On April 4, 2023, at around 11:30 p.m., the Bridgeport Police were called to 640 Trumbull Avenue due to a gunshot detection system alert. Some people also called to report that someone had been shot at the location's parking lot. When the officers arrived, they found a person who was unconscious and had been shot several times. The victim was a 21-year-old man from Bridgeport, who was quickly taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital but died shortly after midnight on April 5, 2023. The investigation of this case is being handled by the B.P.D. Detective Bureau Homicide Squad, who are conducting interviews and pursuing leads. The B.P.D.
