His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport Receives $15K To Fight Childhood Obesity

Bridgeport, CT – The City of Bridgeport Health Department has been awarded $15,000 from the United States Conference of Mayors 2022 Childhood Obesity Prevention and Environmental Health & Sustainability Grant. The US Conference of Mayors selected Bridgeport with a 3rd place award in the category of “medium cities” to support programs that engage the community and promote childhood obesity prevention, environmental health, and sustainability, or a hybrid of both.The City of Bridgeport will be using these grant funds for the installation of a brand new, state-of-the-art outdoor fitness facility in Bridgeport. Bridgeport PD MAKE ARREST IN GHOST GUN-DRUG FACTORY OPERATION

#Bridgeport CT--On February 25, 2022, at approximately 7:15PM the Bridgeport Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Division conducted proactive motor vehicle enforcement in the area of Park Avenue and Austin Street. Members of the Narcotics and Vice Division observed a motor vehicle traveling in that area with an invalid/fake temporary registration and conducted a motor vehicle stop. The operator, identified as 31-year-old Kenneth Joyner of Bridgeport CT, was found to be in possession of an illegal loaded 9mm “Ghost” handgun as well as marijuana packaged for sale. Subsequent to this investigation narcotics officers located another loaded handgun with an obliterated serial number, additional marijuana packaged for sale, a digital scale, and U.S. paper currency. Wrong Way Driver Arrested for DWI in Seymour

On Saturday, 02/26/2022 at approximately 0301 hours, Troop I received emergency 911 calls of a vehicle driving the wrong way on RT 8 southbound near Exit #20. The vehicle was stopped on the RT 8 southbound Exit #22 entrance ramp by Seymour Police Department. The operator was identified as Michael Brown (DOB 02/28/1967). Troopers observed Brown to have glassy and bloodshot eyes. While speaking to Brown, Troopers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his mouth as he spoke. Troopers administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to Brown, which he failed to perform to standard. Bridgeport News: Shot In The Face

#Bridgeport CT-- On February 25, 2022, at approximately 9:30 pm the Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center received reports a male party who walked into an area hospital with a single gunshot wound to the face.The victim, a 29 year old Bridgeport man, was shot on Turner Street by an unknown assailant(s). Bridgeport P.D. Detectives arrived at Bridgeport Hospital and took charge of the investigation. A crime scene was located within the 100 block of Turner Street where the Identification Unit collected evidence and Detectives conducted follow up interviews.
