Police UPDATE: This morning February 14, 2020 at 0903hrs, the Bridgeport Emergncy Communication Center (ECC) received a call from a male party indicating that a person just had a verbal altercation with himself and brandish a weapon in the vicinity of Artic and Jane Streets. That male party then proceeded to follow the individual with the weapon. While police were in route to this call (vicinity of Artic Street), a ShotSpotter activation was received in the ECC at 0909hrs regarding shots fired in the 800th block of Kossuth St. Upon arrival at 0910hrs the BPD came upon a male party critically wounded in the street and declared the incident an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. 2020-02-11--#Bridgeport CT--Bridgeport Police assisted the Bridgeport Department of Public Health at J & J Variety Store, located at 3145 Main Street for the insurance of a to Bridgeport City Chapter 8.20.330 Ordinance violation, "No grocery store, bakery, meat market or other establishment selling food or any other substances used or intended to be used for human consumption off the premises shall be maintained in the city unless licensed by the Director of Health and Social Services. The establishment was operating without Bridgeport Health Department Food Establishment and Tobacco licenses. Bridgeport News: Five Youths Arrested In Stolen Car-Pursuit/Mahunt

Police UPDATE: Police UPDDATE: Patrol officers observed an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Howard Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Gang Task Force became involved and the pursuit ended at 2104hrs just after the stolen vehicle struck the Gang Task Force Vehicle. Five juvenile occupants were all apprehended by a collaborated effort by the Gang Task Force, Patrol Officers, and K-9 Officers. The juveniles were later released to their parents on Juvenile Summons.   2020-02-12@9:00pm--Bridgeport Police say three juveniles were arrested around 9 PM Tuesday at Bostwick Avenue and Pine Street in a stolen car. K-9 officer helped police arrest one of the suspects after a foot pursuit/manhunt near the U-Haul facility.

ConnectiCare Helps Bridgeport Rescue Mission

#Bridgeport CT--ConnectiCare recently presented a $9,914.28 donation to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission in collaboration with the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) tax credit program. The donation will support Bridgeport Rescue Missions green roof solution project. The donation offers organizations the opportunity to continue the great work they do in our communities. The Connecticut NAA program provides tax credits to local businesses that support municipal and tax-exempt organizations. Through this program, ConnectiCare has been able to donate to 36 of its neighboring non-profits.
