Reckless Joyride Ends in Arrest for Stolen Car Duo in Norwalk

Norwalk Police arrested Nevaeh Williams, 19, and a juvenile following a dangerous pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on the Stroffolino Bridge. Officers attempted to safely contain the car due to heavy traffic and pedestrians nearby, but the juvenile driver reversed recklessly, nearly hitting a cruiser and drove into oncoming traffic. Police made controlled contact to stop the vehicle, after which both suspects fled on foot into Veterans Park. Officers quickly apprehended the juvenile driver and Williams without incident. Both face charges including larceny of a motor vehicle and interfering with police.

Negligent Firearm Storage Leads to Arrest in Norwalk

2025-06-27@Norwalk CT – Norwalk Police arrested 37-year-old Alaina Jones following an investigation into two stolen Glock 9mm handguns from her home. Detectives determined that the firearms were not securely stored, despite two juveniles living in the residence. The guns were later recovered by Stamford Police, and two male suspects were arrested. Jones was charged with risk of injury to a child, interfering with an officer, and negligent storage of a firearm. She was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 11, 2025.

On Monday, June 30, 2025, officers from the Norwalk Police Patrol Division were dispatched totwo separate locations in response to reports of found hand grenades.At 10:21 AM, officers responded to a residence on St. Mary’s Lane, where a resident discovereda grenade on the side of the road. Later that day, at 3:30 PM, officers were dispatched to aresidence on Wolfpit Avenue after a grenade was located in the backyard of the property. Norwalk, CT – In November 2023, Norwalk Police were contacted by Desoto Correctional Institution in Florida about Jacob Getman, a Fairfield man incarcerated on domestic violence charges and wanted on multiple warrants in Connecticut. After confirming he was wanted on several warrants—many involving domestic violence—Norwalk Police arranged for his extradition. On June 22, 2025, members of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division traveled to Florida to extradite Getman, 36, of Fairfield. He was returned to Connecticut and held on a total of $280,000 bond for multiple warrants including four counts of first-degree failure to appear, two counts of violation of a protective order, and two counts of violation of probation.
