Bridgeport News: Suspect In Stand-Off Fired At Police

A New Haven man was in police custody early Saturday morning, following a six-hour standoff with Bridgeport and Trumbull Police. Eddie Lynch, age 24, of Rock Creek Road, New Haven, surrendered to Emergency Services officers at about 1:10 a.m. at thescene on Madison Avenue and Anton Street in Bridgeport, where he had crashed duringa police pursuit with Trumbull officers on Friday evening.Bridgeport Police secured the area immediately surrounding the intersection and werenegotiating with Lynch continuously for several hours to encourage his peacefulsurrender. #Trumbull CT-- A single-car motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian resulted in the death of aTrumbull woman late Friday afternoon, November 20, just after 5:00 p.m. Thepedestrian, Lisa Cimmino, age 57, of Madison Avenue, Trumbull, was walking on CanoeBrook Road when she was struck by a vehicle, causing serious life-threatening injuries.
