The Stratford Library continues its special 4-part series about the American Old West of “Sunday Afternoon Talks”, its monthly series of informative and entertaining talks hosted by Charles Lautier and featuring prominent local guest speakers. Bridgeport News: Strong Armed Robbery Suspect Captured In Fairfield

2020-11-01@10:11am--#Fairfield CT--#Bridgeport CT-- A man wanted for a strong armed robbery in Bridgeport who assaulted and robbed an 80 year old veteran was followed into Fairfield on Grasmere Avenue. Fairfield News: Signs Trigger Vandals

A Fairfield home on Davis Road was vandalized during the overnight hours. Police were called to the Davis Road home at 9am on Saturday morning, 10/31 to find political signs defaced and spray painted with BLM and ACAB. Anti-Trump profanities were found to be written on the driveway in shaving cream and the property’s mailbox was covered in shaving cream. A vehicle parked in the driveway was also egged. The owner of the home is a republican member of Fairfield’s Board of Finance. The homeowner was not present when the overnight incident occurred. The incident was reported by a caretaker of the property. The Fairfield Police Department understands that this incident has caused concern to those living within our community.…

Missing Child FOUND

UPDATE: Police say the missing girl has just been found in satisfactory physical condition and being brought to medical professionals for assessment. A Silver Alert has been issued for a 12 year old female named Evelyn Santos-Oliveira  DOB: 7/11/08.  The attached picture of the Victim wearing a brown coat is the most recent picture of her.  The picture in the missing flyer is of the Victim and she is believed to be wearing that white and black dress with flowers.  The attached photo of a silver vehicle arrives at the Victim's house during the time period she went missing and is believed to be a 2011 Mazda 3 Sport.  It cannot be 100% confirmed if she left in this vehicle.  We…

Cruise Passenger Protection Act

WASHINGTON, D.C – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and lead sponsor of the Cruise Passenger Protection Act, released the following statement after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced cruise lines would be allowed to resume operations starting November 1 on a conditional basis: “This order lacks the lasting change needed to right the ship on health and safety aboard cruises, which were Petri dish breeding grounds for the virus at the epicenter of the initial COVID-19 outbreak.
